Entertainers already are lining up to perform at Hinesville’s seventh annual Blues & BBQ festival from 4-11:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18.
The family-oriented event, which will feature a barbecue contest, beverage garden and music, is co-sponsored by the Hinesville Area Arts Council and Fort Stewart MWR.  Other sponsors include the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, The Heritage Bank, Keep Liberty Beautiful, Shane’s Rib Shack, Bobby Ryon for Sheriff and Woodmen of the World.
Musician Ben Robinson, who recently released a new CD, “Best Served Loud,” will open the show at 4 p.m. Robinson has played several lunchtime concerts in Bradwell Park.
Sarah Cole and her band take the stage at 6 p.m. A Charleston native, Cole, only 17, has gotten rave reviews from the Charleston press.
Tommy Thunderfoot and the Accelerators, also Charleston natives, will perform from 8-11:30 p.m.  Thunderfoot has played from Charleston to Santa Monica, Calif., with stops in Florida, Mississippi and Texas.
Blues & BBQ will be in downtown Hinesville’s Bradwell Park. The top two winners in each of the four competition categories, as well as the overall winner, will split $500 in cash awards. For $3, attendees can sample the fare and vote for the people’s choice winner.
