Driver services site proving popular

The Department of Driver Services reported recently that more than 4,000 Georgia drivers conducted licensing business from the comfort of their homes or offices during the recent summer holiday via the Agency’s website,
“DDS has created a quick, secure and convenient way for our customers to conduct their licensing business anytime of the day or night — even during holiday closings,” said DDS Commissioner Gregory C. Dozier. “It is an excellent way to save valuable time and money,” he added.
Online transactions week ending July 4:
• Address change request: 1,623
• Replacement license request: 649
• Driving history access: 235                       
• License renewal (after receiving application): 1,726
• License class upgrade (d to c): 218
• Password request: 314
