Leland Smith, a 79-year-old great-grandfather from Jesup, recently won a $100,000 playing the Monopoly Millionaire instant game.
“I buy one or two every now and then,” Smith said. “I took one home, and today was the lucky day!
“I told my daughter, and at first, she didn’t believe me. My wife almost had a heart attack.”
In addition to 12 great-grandchildren, the Smiths have four adult children and 13 grandchildren.
“I want to buy a new lawnmower, a new car and pay off bills,” Smith said.
Friendly Express, 210 Highway 301 S. in Jesup, sold the winning ticket.
