DALLAS, Ga. — Former wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers and Super Bowl champion Eric Matthews has donated toys and clothing to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Cops for Kids Program.

Sheriff’s officials announced Matthews, founder and CEO of E-Matt Athletics, worked with police in Hiram who helped to coordinate his donation effort with the Paudling County charity program.

E-Matt Athletics is a 37,000 square foot indoor sports complex in Hiram.

The sheriff’s office began the Cops for Kids program in 1998 to donate goods to 25 needy children.

Sheriff’s officials say 380 children will be served by the program this year.

Paudling County Sheriff’s officials say this year’s Cops for Kids event is being hosted at a Walmart in Dallas on Marietta Highway Dec. 22 at 7 a.m.
