A current 3rd Infantry Division soldier and a former soldier were killed during the weekend in what civilian law-enforcement investigators are calling a domestic dispute.
Miranda Nichols was found dead from a gunshot Saturday outside her mother’s Vidalia home. Spc. Samuel Tellu was found dead from a gunshot Sunday inside his vehicle in Montgomery County.
Tellu was assigned to the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade as a petroleum specialist. He had 2-1/2 years of service with one deployments.
Nichols served in the 3rd ID and the Georgia National Guard.
Third ID and Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield officials have expressed condolences to the families and friends of Tellu and Nichols.
