The Bryan County High football Redskins closed out their season Friday in Alma as they fell to Bacon County 21-0 in a Region 2-AA matchup. The Redskins finished the season on a high note by winning two of their last three games and ended with a 3-7, 3-6 record.

Bacon County (6-4, 6-3) had their hands full with the visiting Redskins as the scrappy defense of Bryan County gave up no first quarter points before allowing a touchdown pass in the second quarter and found themselves down only 7-0 at the halftime intermission.

The Redskins' offense, which had minimal success moving the ball against the Red Raiders defense, got within field goal range in the third quarter with a chance to put some points on the board, but the 52-yard field goal attempt by placekicker Ty Wilson was unsuccessful.

Neither team could find points in the third quarter and the Redskins and Raiders were still staring at a 7-0 score heading into the fourth quarter.

Bacon County mounted two scoring drives to tack on 14 points in the final period.
