RHHS prides itself in taking an interest in its community, and with events like the annual Ornament Sale it’s easy to see that the student body truly cares.

For the last two holiday seasons now the RHHS Student has been selling Christmas tree ornaments and using the profits buys Christmas gifts for foster kids in Bryan County who would otherwise not be receiving any Christmas presents this holiday.

Last season Student Council was able to provide Christmas gifts for roughly 20 children.

The kids usually get around three presents a piece, and the gifts range from dolls to cd players. This year some of the items on the children’s wish list include cd’s, dolls, and clothes.

RHHS students can buy ornaments for one dollar at any lunch starting last Friday, the 7th, and ending Dec. 19th. Buyers can write there own messages on their ornaments, which will be hung on the school Christmas tree in the front lobby.

Giving is what the holidays are all about, and it makes me extremely proud to be able to give to those who need it the most without ever leaving the halls of RHHS.
