Starting July 19, South Bryan residents will have the opportunity to buy local farm-fresh produce, crafts, plants and more at the Richmond Hill Farmers Market in J.F. Gregory Park.

During its regular meeting June 21, the Richmond Hill City Council unanimously gave Richmond Hill resident and market manager Angus McLeod the OK to get the farmers market, which has been in the planning stages for about a year, up and running.

Sponsored by the city of Richmond Hill Parks and Tree Department, the market will be from 4-8 p.m. every Tuesday from July 19 to mid-October under the pavilion in the park.

“It gives local vendors the opportunity to sell fresh produce, and it gives the community something to do in the park,” McLeod said last week. “It also gives local vendors that have good local crafts an affordable way to sell them and get it in the public’s eye.”
